Now in its fourth year, we are thrilled to be hosting our annual photo competition and are calling on all people, young and old, who love the Mornington Peninsula to showcase that very special image which depicts this wonderful Peninsula and its people.
From the family beaches to the rugged coastal oceans, the stunning hinterland, the hills and valleys, your favourite pets, the wildlife and just daily life, it enables us to connect with amazing landscapes, beautiful scenery, iconic Peninsula imagery and sometimes just plain brilliant day to day situations. We are inviting you to share that remarkable photo and showcase your work.
You may enter up to 15 images, they must be your own work.
Photos do not need to be current, they could be of a previous holiday, or exploring a new neighbourhood. Photos can be taken using your phone, camera, drone, gopro etc...
We have three categories:
- Mornington Peninsula Pets
- Mornington Peninsula Places
- Mornington Peninsula Wildlife
Pets: This category is for photographs of your favourite pets living their best life on our beautiful Mornington Peninsula. People may be included in this category.
Places: This category is for photographs of the landscape, seascape, buildings, places, shops, restaurants, cafes, events, activities and more. People and animals may be included in this category.
Wildlife: This category is for photographs of the varied wildlife on the Mornington Peninsula, from your birds, animals, lizards, frogs, insects, sea & ocean dwellers etc. People may be included in this category.

All photo finalists will have their images featured on our social media pages and website.
The overall winner will receive a 50cm x 75cm acrylic print of their image,
with second place winners receiving a 40cm x 60cm acrylic print of their image
and third place winning a 40cm x 60cm acrylic print of their image.
People's Choice winner will receive a 50cm x 75cm acrylic print of their image.

Terms and conditions for 2024 McNeill Real Estate Mornington Peninsula Photography Competition:
1. Images:
- Each entry must include:
- Photographer’s name
- Contact email and phone number
- Image title
- Image location
- Each image must be uploaded via this link and include:
- High resolution jpeg image – up to 5MB in size.
- Images should not include watermarks or other branding.
2. The photos must be the work of the photographer and owner of the copyright of any image submitted.
3. There is no age limit to the entrant. If you can take a photo, you can enter!
4. All entrants acknowledge that any photos submitted for entry into the competition may be used by McNeill Real Estate for any future marketing/advertising of current and future competitions it chooses, with full credit to the photographer.
5. The deadline for the photos is Monday 14 October 2024, no later than 5.00pm.
6. The photos will be judged by an independent selection panel appointed by McNeill Real Estate.
7. The winner will be awarded a 50cm x 75cm acrylic print of their image, 2nd place will be awarded a 40cm x 60cm acrylic print of their image, and 3rd place will be awarded a 40cm x 60cm acrylic print of their image.
8. The People's Choice winner will be awarded a 50cm x 75cm acrylic print of their image.
9. McNeill Real Estate reserves the right to the final decision and discretion on the final photos chosen.
10. McNeill Real Estate reserves the right to decide upon which photos will be utilised, such decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
11. All entries must be taken safely and in a manner that complies with local laws and regulations.
12. When photographing wildlife and natural areas, habitat disturbance must be kept to a minimum. Entrants must minimise any impact their presence has on surrounding flora and fauna and ensure they comply with local conservation guidance and requirements. Live baiting is not allowed and the use of any other means of attracting wild animals is strongly discouraged. If an attractant has been used to attract wildlife it must be declared in the entry information.
13. An entrant may be disqualified at any stage if it is found they have engaged in unethical practices in the capture and creation of their entry.
14. McNeill Real Estate Pty Ltd supports the safe and legal operation of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA), including drones. All entries captured with an RPA must comply with local rules and regulations. Any images suspected of being captured illegally will be disqualified. In order to be eligible for a prize, entrants must be able to provide verifiable EXIF data including drone type, position (latitude and longitude), and altitude information. Competition organisers reserve the right to disqualify any image they suspect may have been captured illegally.
15. The entrant indemnifies McNeill Real Estate Pty Ltd against any claim, legal or otherwise, that may arise out of publication of images.
16. McNeill Real Estate Pty Ltd reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed to be in breach of the above Terms and Conditions.
17. By entering this competition the entrant guarantees to McNeill Real Estate Pty Ltd that all of the above Terms and Conditions have been met. Any entry found to breach the above Terms and Conditions will be disqualified and all prize money and product prizes must be returned to McNeill Real Estate Pty Ltd.
HOW THE JUDGING WILL WORK:
Winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be announced on McNeill Real Estate's social media channels.
After announcement of the winners, People's Choice judging will begin. This will be conducted on the McNeill Real Estate facebook page where the Top 40 images from the balance of the entries, will be posted. Anyone is welcome to vote for their favourite images. Voting will be open for approximately one week. The image with the most likes, will receive our People's Choice prize and be featured on our website and social pages.
So the more you share, comment and like each photo, the more exposure your photo will get!! The photo with the most likes will be the winner of the Peoples' Choice Prize – an acrylic print of their winning image!
