UPDATE TO PROPERTY INSPECTIONS IN VICTORIA

Home inspections and auctions are currently allowed to take place under the following guidelines:
Inspections:
Inspections must be by appointment only.
Up to 20 people are allowed to inspect a property subject to the four square metre rule (one person for every four square metres of available floor space in the home). Infants under one year of age, owners, residents and the minimum number of people required to conduct the inspection are excluded from the total.
Face masks must be worn unless there is a legal reason not to. During the inspection, people should should keep at least 1.5 metres between themselves and others. COVIDSafe measures (mask wearing, hand sanitiser and record keeping etc) should be practiced.
It is mandatory for every Victorian business, including real estate businesses, with on-site operations to have a COVIDSafe Plan.
There are no restrictions on travel between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria to attend home inspections.
Auctions:
Home auctions can be held outdoors with up to 50 people in attendance in line with public gathering limits. The minimum number of people required to conduct the auction and the owners or residents of the property are excluded from the total.
